About the Supervisor
Jeffrey Howell, MA, LPCC-S
Jeff believes that effective, client-centered care begins with the therapeutic relationship. He views therapy as a collaborative journey — one that supports individuals and families in broadening perspective, building insight, and making informed, healthy choices.
With over 30 years of experience in behavioral health, Jeff has worked with adults, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, and trauma. His clinical background spans a wide range of settings, allowing him to bring both depth and practicality to his work as a clinician and supervisor.
Jeff incorporates evidence-based approaches including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), while remaining flexible to the needs of each client and clinician.
Supervision Philosophy
Jeff’s supervision style balances professional rigor with compassion and support. He is committed to creating a learning environment where interns and emerging clinicians feel encouraged to ask questions, reflect openly, and grow with confidence.
He prioritizes ethical practice, thoughtful case conceptualization, and the development of clinical judgment, helping supervisees build both competence and confidence as future practitioners.
