Growing up can be tough especially when emotions feel overwhelming or relationships get complicated. Our DBT Skills Group for youth ages 11 to 16 is designed to help kids and teens build practical tools to handle life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
What is DBT?
Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach that teaches skills for emotional regulation, stress management, and healthy relationships. In this group, we focus on:
Mindfulness: Learning to notice thoughts, feelings, and actions without judgement.
Distress Tolerance: Healthy coping strategies when things feel overwhelming.
Emotional Regulation: Identifying emotions and learning skills to manage them effectively.
Interpersonal Effectiveness: Building communication and conflict resolution skills.
